The device responds with a noticeable delay — 2–3 seconds when connected to a MacBook Pro 14 (2021). It’s tolerable for switching tracks, but frustrating when watching YouTube with frequent seeking. You wouldn’t expect such lag from a native ecosystem product. Competing Bluetooth devices react much faster.

If you’re experiencing connection or update issues, I recommend disabling “Advanced Data Protection” in your iPhone settings. This resolved the issue for me without the need to alter network configurations or perform additional steps.
